Amaran trailer: Sivakarthikeyan film is an emotional story of Major Mukund Varadarajan

The highly anticipated trailer for Amaran, a biographical action war film directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, was released on October 23, offering audiences a glimpse into an emotional and action-packed narrative.

Amaran’s trailer offers a sneak peek into Major Mukund Varadarajan’s simple yet endearing family life and his inspiring heroics at the Line of Control. The trailer opens with touching real-life footage of Major Mukund and his daughter and goes on to showcase a few glimpses of his family. The Amaran trailer pays tribute to Major Mukund’s bravery and sacrifice while protecting the country’s border from the terrorists. Star composer GV Prakash Kumar’s soul-stirring score elevates the emotions and heroism.

Amaran is written and directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, produced by legendary actor-filmmaker Kamal Hassan, R. Mahendran, and Sony Pictures International Productions, and co-produced by God Bless Entertainment. Tollywood star Nithiin’s father Sudhakar Reddy and sister Nikhitha Reddy will be releasing Amaran’s Telugu version. The film is slated for release as a Diwali festive treat on October 31.

Produced by Raaj Kamal Films International in collaboration with Sony Pictures Films India, the film stars Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role of Major Mukund Varadarajan, alongside a strong supporting cast including Sai Pallavi, Bhuvan Arora, Rahul Bose, and others.

The film’s portrayal of heroism and the emotional depth of its characters is expected to leave a strong impact on viewers.

Amaran is an adaptation of the acclaimed book series India’s Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh, focusing on the bravery of Major Varadarajan. With music composed by GV Prakash Kumar, cinematography by CH Sai, and editing by R. Kalaivanan, the film is set to release worldwide on October 31, 2024, coinciding with Diwali.
